Currently trying to survive the nightmare through trashy books, Star Trek, horror movies, real housewives, and Taylor Swift.
We’ll keep fighting but it shouldn’t be this hard.
My folks were in town this week. They’re both in their 70s. I’m just really proud of them for leaving the GOP, staying curious, and for graciously accepting my correction when they misgendered someone in their life. My family is far from perfect, but in this way, I’m really lucky.

So, basically Allred is saying it’s ok that he takes $ from billionaires because he’s not the one running against the billionaire class? @jamestalarico.bsky.social is.
That’s not the own Colin thinks it is.

The ratio on this. I think @schumer.senate.gov can consider this our strongly worded letter for him to step down as leader.
Democrats have been fighting for months to address America's healthcare crisis

For the millions who will lose coverage
For people with cancer who won't get the care they need
For working families who can't afford to pay $25K more a year for healthcare

We will keep fighting

Tilda got out this morning, which is impressive as she does not move fast. She’s my chubby slow loris and I’d die for her.

I don’t have words for my fellow Texans. Saying nothing of the substance of Prop 16, it was already law!!! Twice!
And it was way closer than I’d like in Austin. We’ve got work to do, Texas!!

Is anyone else a Swiftie and a MBMBambino? Cuz this moment is reminding me a lot of the blue Taako controversy.

In social movement studies, we talk about how marches and protests expand the threshold of acceptable risk so that people take more and bigger social risks IN PUBLIC, EN MASSE. This is extremely important for the bourgeois white folks holding signs and building social rapport.
Not a shitpost: #NoKings is feel-good performative activism for comfortable mostly upper and upper middle class white folks and that’s good, actually. Millions of people in the streets protesting a fascist regime is good. It is good for the normie baseline to be massive displays of public dissent.

I’m not totally decided on Prop
Q yet. I don’t think I’ve ever voted against a tax for social programs, but I’m not sure I trust this Austin City Council with more money while I decide if me or my cat get dental care.

Austin taxpayers deserve accountability and proof of progress before being asked to shoulder another increase, the American-Statesman Editorial Board writes.

Sweet Tilda Kitten had 12 extractions today. She had stomatitis resorption lesions because all of her teeth fell out when she was 2 and all left roots behind.
I swear I just heard one of my cats tell her she smells like hospital #RHOSLC

There's been a lot of confusion about which states could redraw their House maps before the midterms, so we've put together a definitive guide to every state that could actually do so—16 in all.

We explain the likelihood of new maps, probable targeted districts, and any obstacles to passage.
Here's every state that could draw a new congressional map by 2026

Every major Democrat has millions in their campaign account. The threat to democracy is big enough that we need to be funding mobilization and messaging right now - not just banking money for the next election.

If we don't build right now, there might not be another election.
