I’ll be honest, and perhaps it’s not wholly rational, but one of the big reasons I consider myself a liberal rather than a leftist is pieces like this right here. Class interests matter but other things matter as well.

I really think this is all the marbles rn. If they actually have to back down and release Garcia, the admin will have lost one of the largest, most public fights of the Stephen Miller homeland security plan and I don't think they can quite recover from it tbh.

Something amazing about American political culture basically since Clinton is that every universally loved and acclaimed musician thinks Republicans have cooties and will not under any circumstance allow their universally loved music to be played within 3 miles of said Republicans.
