Anybody who knows me, knows that I am essentially a Vulcan.

I just wept after reading HCR's post on yesterday's Federally sponsored extrajudicial execution.

I have conservative friends, decent people, who are still struggling to provide cover for these acts of fascism.

What will it take to see?

One of the last (entirely surreal) debates I allowed myself to get sucked into on ZuckFace was with some ostensibly liberal persons (casual friends) who insisted that the Current Occupant would be less likely to go adventuring in foreign nations. I wonder how they are feeling these days.

Fundamentalist faiths make religion dangerous to others, but Christianity properly lived is dangerous to Christians. It’s dangerous to people who refuse to hate those they are told to hate, to people who refuse to oppress, to conquer, to exploit — even when they’re told to conquer in the name of God
