The NYT feature noted that the press pushed the pub up by 3 weeks (so she would not compete with Cheryl Hines). That's not a ton of time, but maybe they skipped a copyedit or three?

I stopped giving money to Harvard years ago because of their consistent policy of doing almost nothing to punish proven sexual assaulters and bullies among the faculty.
At most, they will announce that he is "on leave" in the spring. He'll still get paid, of course.

Look, I know this weaponization of male academic interest is the oldest story in the book, but itโs just so, so pernicious. Itโs awful to the women directly involved, but itโs also awful to *all* women in the academy, who have to live in its shadow all the time.

Given where I live and the kind of work I do, I don't run into those people very often. But I would point out that the vast majority of arrests involve innocent people. And ask if they would spend even one minute in one of those detention centers. Anyone who supports these actions should have to.
