Two of my (not) favorite art bike racks in Louisville

A) Not sure how you are supposed to lock to the people one, also there was 3 people, but one got hit by a car

B) why put trash on it purpose, I do see some symbolism you can get from that one though

aerons are one million percent worth having, it's an incredible chair and your back will thank you

also you should never pay retail or close to it (unless your work is buying it for you), there are always a million used ones floating around because of office churn
it's some kind of journalistic malpractice to tell people an areon going for 30% off of $1600 is a meaningful "discount". you're supposed to get one from a shady facebook marketplace guy for $150 at most
Early Black Friday discounts—and a flash sale—help bring down the price of the iconic Herman Miller Aeron. www.wired.com/story/black-...

Thanks to @lpm.org for covering the thing that has been top of my mind day and night of late.

“Statewide, the 30% cap could eliminate rental assistance for 2,610 formerly homeless Kentuckians with disabilities, according to the Kentucky Housing Corporation.”

Just to make this clear, I’m not against fare free transit. But in a world where transit is underfunded, fares are necessary to pay the bills without cutting service, even when they make up a small percentage of the total budget.
I think fare free transit is great as long as it doesn’t come at the expense of service, as we’ve seen with the recent collapse of RideKC and reimplementation of fares.

We spent a year investigating billionaires for @washingtonpost.com.

We found: the wealthiest 100 Americans gave $1.1 billion to influence the 2024 elections — 140x more than they did in 2000. And almost all of that giving boosted Republicans.

My entire life I get told that technology will rot my brain but the instant a technology comes along that actually does, suddenly that's not a problem anymore
Relying on ChatGPT to teach you about a topic leaves you with shallower knowledge than Googling and reading about it, according to new research that compared what more than 10,000 people knew after using one method or the other.

It's a censorship engine designed to promote ideas that Elon Musk likes and suppress ideas that Elon Musk does not like. I really don't get why this evident fact - that Musk openly admits! - is so hard for so many people to understand
An X user asks Elon Musk why they’re seeing tweets from left-wing lawmakers.

Musk: “Because we are failing very badly with the recommendations algorithm. Doing my best to address this.”

Love the note about people opposing the change to CM zoning so he can open his gallery when two addresses down it is zoned....CM, 10 thin Old Lou lots north is M2 Industrial.
Sorry but is absurd that something like this can't get easily fast-tracked, the place was pretty much abandoned before he started his work, and an art gallery is not going to negatively affected the abandoned lots that surround him
A 77-year-old master plumber with deep family ties to the art world has invested six figures into transforming a vacant Louisville building into a gallery, only to discover the property's zoning won't allow it.
