Whenever I tell someone I can do something, I wave my arms exactly like the demon guy

It's so powerful, it makes everyone believe in me (I think)
Hit the "add coyote time" portion of re-learning some code stuff today, and somewhere I can hear the tiny audible groan of @kayin.moe

(I'm indifferent to it, but prefer more deliberate controlling games to not have it honestly, just imagine GNG with coyote time...)
The algo is... healing?

Mine be like:

- cool old guy making hot sauce based mixers
- deltarune covers
- clips of buckethead being buckethead
- obscure pc-88/pc-98 game playthroughs and guides
- AI will destroy us all!
- AI will save us all!
- cute dog
- obscure eldritch audiobook reading
They came out with Death Stranding 3 so fast, wow...

Alternatively, finally, capture feed of how 2025 feels!
Imagining a world where they remake Terranigma, but due to an unfortunate cavalcade of errors the entire first print run has "Terraligma" on the cover
Usually Foddy games aren't quite my jam, but this single clip is like... 1000% sold instantly
It wasn't THAT big of a deal, but was one of the few moments where I felt like everything that wanted to happen was just fighting with itself and none of it was working quite as intended, even just slowing it down a notch and making more cool stuff happen might have done a lot
Might've also been my least favorite part because of the Ori-isms of it. This massively beautiful and intricate set piece you have no time to enjoy that feels the slightest bit too long.

I also had to run the whole thing back because of a skill that pulled from my silk and activated constantly
It's not even young people, it's people my age that have PLAYED much harsher games!

I swear there's some zombie mind worm that infests people and forces them to nod to loud voice and that's it without thinking about constructive reasons WHY they're mad, or WHAT can be done.
It's time to sit people down in front of old Castlevania where damage just incrementally increases as you get further. Drac's bodyguards? Take 4-6 damage now, they're strong.

I think I even posited to friends "would you be this mad if shit just did 1 damage for a while THEN started doing 2?"
Thanks for the inadvertent recommendation, this looks extremely up my alley
I guess it's more Sekirot than anything, still though, there was a WEIRD group of people when I streamed From games that would get bent if I so much as deigned to touch a shield and didn't spend my entire playthrough rolling directly at the boss

Now it's like, all people KNOW for action games
The Fromrot of rolling at everything is infectious, every boss I tried aggressively for three or four attempts became "oh yeah, just like... stay away and time hits" and no problem was had ever again

It's funny how jumping gaming behaviors back 20+ years and being more slow and patient does wonders

Some fanart for an old favorite of mine, StarTropics! Imagine if we got another game in the series for the Super Nintendo #pixelart

Pixel art of a vibrant sunset on a tropical beach with purple sky, the Southern Cross of stars, and the Southern Lights. There is a gilded title Startropics III. Mockup for an imaginary game

'Gunstar Heroes' was released on the SEGA Mega Drive 32 years ago today in Japan.
Star Tropics 3, I'll always believe though, always...
Share your most unrealistic expectations for the Nintendo Direct

I guess the point of this ramble is you gotta slow down to take it all in, talk to your friends, ask questions, learn more about the things you enjoy, if you rush to shove it to the back of your mind and move to the next big thing, again...

Why?
OR, mileage may vary, but just waiting between each chapter of Deltarune and vibing, I don't blame people for waiting for the "full thing", but I'd argue part of the experience is some level of anticipation

Much like waiting for a new book, filling in the world between time is a unique experience
Thinking, ONCE AGAIN, of Void Stranger and how it's steam page recommends taking breaks, asking friends and other players for assistance when stuck, and how most if not all of the community took that advice and it for the first time in decades gave me that feeling again
Ocarina of Time took me and my family actual months to finish as a kid, and it's one of the most memorable gaming experiences I had as a result. Nobody was concerned at all about being spoiled, in fact if a friend got further it was almost a god send "HOW!?" and we'd trade info and work together
When you play games you can...you can slow down, you know?

You don't have to finish it in three ten hour long sittings, I think a lot of discourse comes from being in a mad dash, some kind of rush to be "one of the first"

why?
Me and my friends coined Fromsoft runbacks as "John Madden strats" cause of exactly this. It became a game unto itself to figure out just how many enemies we could rush past and the best ways to get around them, if something's really that annoying you gotta start making your own fun out of it imo

Games are allowed to be difficult. Don't buy games immediately because everyone else did. And so on and so on, again.
