...played their hearts out. Chris Underwood, Natalie Anderson, heck it's a testament when Tyson Apostol plays the softest of every EoE returnee (no shade). And winner of the season or not, it ultimately works in Rick's favor going forward. Gotta love the Kool-Aid Man.

He does initiate the move, he does have personal conflict w/ even his closest ally David, but knows to side w/ him, not against him. And when Aurora pitches out an idea bad for her but good for him, he runs with it unapologetically. That's a theme w/ this twist, all who came back from the EOE...

Ultimately, is Rick Devens the main character of the episode? Certainly not, b/c there IS no main character. It's a clusterfuck of every shifting allegiances. I dare say Gavin is the closest we got to that, but even he gets lost in the shuffle of so much craziness.
But Rick is far from invisible.
February 10, 2026 at 10:05 AM
David gets 1 vote that doesn't count.
Wentworth gets 1 vote. And then all the rest go to Julia. Well, in her own words, "that was one for the ages."
And Rick Devens gets the bulk of the credit for this playing out, even by the cast remaining.
Yup, still an insane outcome and I adored all of it!
February 10, 2026 at 10:05 AM
Julia lambasts Rick for the move, since he was never in danger, but to callback her earlier comment, he says he's in the pilot seat. And things finally simmer down, sans Julia saying "Shut up, Wardog."
And now, after 13 minutes of tribal, we get to the vote.
Rich plays his/David's idol on David.
February 10, 2026 at 10:05 AM
...the original plan was the oust him, and Julie's paranoia causes Aurora to say "Can't deal w/ soccer moms."
And after Julia says Julie is about to give up Kama Control, she now "IS READY TO JUMP SHIP!" Yeah, it's a precursor to S46 Liz going "I'M PIIIIISSED!!!!!!!"
Now Julia is fully the target.
February 10, 2026 at 10:05 AM
And Wardog is almost too onboard w/ that plan, like he will just do whatever Julie wants, LOL. Hey, it's the most control she's had all game.
And finally Julie confronts the Kama 4 about being paranoid, Aubry on the jury is giving shock faces that rival Eliza Orlins, David confirms w/ Wentworth...
February 10, 2026 at 10:05 AM
Wentworth fruitlessly tries making sure the Kama 4 are in her corner.
As Julie/Ron strategize w/ the Lesu 3, Victoria is eavesdropping, in desperation trying to put things back on track.
David/Rick agree to stick to their original plan to use the idol on David.
Julie then suggests Julia for the vote
February 10, 2026 at 10:05 AM
Yeah, Rick is now gung-ho about taking out a Kama 4 member, and Julie, out of paranoia, seems onboard w/ it too, and Wardog then follows suit. Whispering ensues and tribal goes live.
Initially, the Lesu 3 tries targetting Aurora.
David tries touching base w/ Wentworth, only to be lured away, LOL.
February 10, 2026 at 10:05 AM
..."You're spilling the beans," and no disrespect, but that's rich given how she tried covering her track w/ Wentworth just now, publicly.
And Rick has had enough, who rationally thinks all the factions, minus Kama 4, should just come together. And Julia's response? "You're such a passenger, Rick."

...could all work together if they wanted." I mean, I don't think she meant to push that, but I can't fathom what her preceding statement was supposed to accomplishment as a gain for her game.
Aurora then makes a very...abstract comment that no one can parse out, but it causes Julia to whisper...
February 10, 2026 at 10:05 AM
But yup, he forces the jar to be opened w/ Julia and Wentworth's convo. And Julia clarifying that she "was good" w/ Wentworth, tips off Rick that the Kame 4 has cemented her loyalty to the Lesu 3.
And to make matters worse, Aurora basically says "all the outsides, if they got their heads straight...
February 10, 2026 at 10:05 AM
B/c had Julia not answered, I think Wentworth then officially just says "Fuck it, idol play incoming", but Julia "confirming" (but likely lying about) the plan to Wentworth sparks a question in Probst to stoke up drama like a good host would.
Well, not before consoling Julie, again like a good host.
February 10, 2026 at 10:05 AM
...then the instant Julie starts crying is when said lit matches hit the fuse on the bomb. It's nothing instant, although it's indeed powerful, but it further concerns Wentworth, so she looks to Julia for reassurance and, once again, she does so...although that became a no-win scenario for Julia.
February 10, 2026 at 10:05 AM
Rick suggests he may be shit...I kid you not, but he and Wentworth both voice unease at the pre-tribal shakedown.
Gavin tries bringing things together (odds are he was downtrodden still at the target changing), and then Julie breaks down crying.
So...if pre-tribal was ppl trying to light matches...
February 10, 2026 at 10:05 AM
No, out of a 42 minute run time, we head to tribal at...25 minutes...yeah past the halfway point, but not by much. Something is about to go down so spicy, it'd make Cajun cuisine envious.
And sure enough, even before things go live, we get odd metaphors from David about sharks, minnows and poop.
February 10, 2026 at 10:05 AM
So Wentworth now may need to play her idol too, since the Kama 4 are acting sus around her.
Now, on rewatch, something I was thrown off by was when TC started, b/c if memory served, it was before the halfway point in the episode, which is INSANE! What nuke gets dropped in that midst?
But I was wrong
February 10, 2026 at 10:05 AM
...suggests using the idol he/Rick share on him, meanwhile Wentworth sees an unprompted nod from Julia, overselling to her that "yup, things are still on track", which sketches her out since...well, what indication had there been that they weren't?
& Aurora, Victoria and Gavin don't offer assurance.
February 10, 2026 at 10:05 AM
Like, fly in the ointment, & this is definitely where things fall apart before tribal, despite seeming like an open-and-shut case to maybe blindside Wentworth: the Kama 4 do an AWFUL job of managing the conversations they have. They had a beautiful position in the middle, but David's spidey sense...
February 10, 2026 at 10:05 AM
...such as Gavin being irritated the target shifted from David to Wentworth, tho give him credit, he's doing a decent job assuring Ron/Julie...and then take that credit away b/c we pan to a group shot of everyone eating rice around the campfire and it is SILENT. Dead silent...yeah, something's afoot.
February 10, 2026 at 10:05 AM
...a big ass original majority is about to come together to take out a minority again. Ron humbly tries getting in Kama's good graces again, and it might be working, aside from Julie still being so spooked from the last tribal that she isn't sure what to believe.
But a few wrenches fall in the gears
February 10, 2026 at 10:05 AM
Speaking of: Wentworth has reservations about voting out David, and thinks the target should be shifted to Ron, someone who just got blindsided, and the Lesu 3 try pitching this to Julia.
Julia is not down with it and now wants to reunited Kama to take out Wentworth. Well, boring outcome, where...
February 10, 2026 at 10:05 AM
...a double elimination, where we saw 2 immunities and as a result, 2 ppl sent home. Except usually that result is quicker than that even, what is about to transpire?
Well Rick pitches to the Kama 4 to take out the Lesu 3, even, though Gavin was initially targetting David.
February 10, 2026 at 10:05 AM
Yeah, basically all the eventual big targets at that tribal were this close to winning immunity instead. That has got to sting for all of them, but especially the eventual player voted out.
So barely 1/3 of the way into the episode, the immunity challenge is over. Now in past seasons, that meant...
February 10, 2026 at 10:05 AM
Gavin wants to move forward w/ the Lesu 3, but Julia is wary of giving them more power.
Flash forward to the reward challenge, a callback to David's 1st season, and after a tight battle, where Gavin ends up winning, yk who his final 3 opponents were? Wentworth, David and Julia...hmmm....
