It's kind of funny that I didn't even want to buy Clair Obscur in the beginning because I didn't think it would be for me 🤝

I've got three days off this week and it already feels like a mini Christmas break because all I'm doing is going to Christmas markets, reading advent calendar books, eating Christmas food and playing video games.

Many of these could've won, had the other not come out this year. Blessed to have had a fantastic book year.

Made someone cry by gifting them one of my paintings. Life goal?
I apologised.

Feels like every recent game release / update has some AI. It's unavoidable at this point.

I love Stranger Things.

The wait for the rest of the episodes will be long.

"A leaf? For me? Thank you!"

Weeks after this scene and I think about it all the time.

Can confirm, three is correct. It really doesn't take much to make a difference.
I once asked a bookseller at a large indie store how many people would have to buy a book for it to get the attention of the store buyer and cause an additional order and they said: Three.
I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.

As a former bookseller it makes me so mad when bookshops don't react to anything that's current. What do you mean you only have one lousy edition of Frankenstein? What do you mean you don't carry Wicked? Where's your table display on witches? Give us anything but a boring assortment of random books.

War heute im ersten der drei gebuchten Malkurse die einzige die alleine da war. Ich habe das gute gemeistert, aber die introvertierte overthinkerin ist natürlich nie still innerlich

What year is it?

I really have to get out of that pattern where I listen to an album, fall in love, look for tour dates, only to find all of the tickets sold out.

Two big losses this year. 🥲

It's the middle of November, but how much will change? Probably not a lot, but Lily Allen and Lorde might switch. (this is a list of tracked plays, but it's wildly accurate)

I haven't read Frankenstein yet but the notion that Del Toro a) didn't read the book or b) didn't understand it is the most annoying discourse when he's talked about his love for it at length and has a life sized statue of Shelley in his house. 1/2

One day after watching Frankenstein and I can't stop thinking about it. They really did it. Jacob Elordi needs to win awards.
