That is a motivation being ascribed to the actions being taken, which I do not entirely concur with. I see a fascist dictator doing evil shit they was always part of the plan, and I do not see distractions.

The distractions I see are liberals screeching “EPSTEIN!!!” on articles about fascism.

And before you start whining about Mitch McConnell, where’s the Democrat obstructionist right now? Who’s standing in their way from the minority right now? Why are so many Democrats confirming Trump’s appointments and approving resolutions? Why can Reps obstruct from the minority and Dems can’t?

Dems had a fucking supermajority and barely passed a Republican-gutted half-assed healthcare plan.

Dems do nothing even when they have all the power. Stop shielding them from valid criticism.

I’m just surprised anyone is convinced a full release would accomplish anything. His base don’t care, the MAGA GOP don’t care, and he already has the office. A full release implicating him won’t even lead to an impeachment, much less removal. This is such a wild goose chase.

Because Dems deserve to be bashed. They enable Republican fascism and do a lot more talking about stuff than doing it. The one thing they excel at is fundraising off of fear and those unbacked words.

Stop shielding them from valid criticism.

Democrats are usually pretty good about the words part. Absolute garbage on the actions.

Which basically outlines one of my biggest problems with VBNMW Blue MAGA shitlibs. They act like the Dem presidential candidates are these larger-than-life brilliant and magnanimous giants who we owe allegiance to simply for being there on the ballot.

I think one of the biggest cleavages in our society that no one talks about is the division between those that think powerful people must be held to a higher standard than non-powerful people and those who think powerful people should be flattered and sucked up to.

Yeah, I got sus when they claimed to be “to the left of Bernie” (which is how I often describe myself) and yet were coming down hard on the “harm reduction” Harris bandwagon. Like, every other lefty I talk to, even if they themselves voted for Kamala, don’t harangue people for not doing so.

You don’t have to get “half the country” to do it - 2024 proved a candidate can win with less than 40% of registered voters. Try running a candidate on popular issues (universal health care, student loan forgiveness, minimum wage improvements, etc) who is also openly critical of the establishment.

2. Harris won my state, so it doesn’t matter who I voted for. That’s how the electoral college works.

Seriously, “unelectable o just means “I’m not willing to vote for them”. There’s no constitutional requirement for a candidate to be backed by a major party to be valid. Any “third party” candidate would win if enough people voted for them.
