Doing a lot of less than flashy, behind the scenes work to make cool comics. Wish I had more to share, but everything right now is in service of making good books.

It’s unfortunate that I cannot be depressed because I just ate a big helping of enchiladas.

I feel sad for the people who don’t believe Godzilla could exist in real life because of “physics” and “science.”

My store is back open with a few items! Have enough energy to put together these packages, so if you didn't get my little art/sketchbook the first time (because it sold out), this is a good chance to do it!

Sometimes you’re on Tubi thinking you’re going to enjoy a nice little documentary about pulp fiction and you stumble on to a propaganda piece by Scientologists?

If you are ever having a bad day, I whole heartedly recommend reading a volume of Dinosaur Sanctuary by @kurinosukeboy.bsky.social to make your day better. It’s far and away my favorite comfort manga.

Everyone jokes about horses and bicycles being some of the worst things you can write into a script, but I like to torture artists by including as many panels of characters walking down staircases as possible.

Literally a crime that this isn’t a GN yet, such a brilliant idea executed flawlessly !!!! Van never misses!!
Happy #portfolioday! Was looking through my portfolio and a project I wish had found a publisher was this kid’s graphic novel pitch called Alexander Zombie’s Afraid of Humans. It follows a little zombie boy who is deathly afraid of humans…until he meets one. Maybe one day it will find a home.

Have spent the last couple weeks working on a page, (off and on) which had a bunch of wonky perspective that I kept trying to force my way through. Ripped up that page a half hour ago and restarted to arrive at a concept that’s simultaneously 10x simpler and better.

Listening to Geese for the first time and this band sounds like they recorded the Lumineers after they got their teeth knocked out in a bar fight with Mumford and his sons.
