read this beautiful poem!
I am so excited to share this poem and join the many many other Icarus poets. Here is my speculative ekphrastic "Flooded Landscape with the Fall of Icarus" which imagines Breughel's landscape altered by climate change.

Thank you @terrainorg.bsky.social!

shout it from the rooftops!
casual reminder that saying you're interested in submissions from underprivileged and underrepresented writers falls a little flat when you're also charging folks to submit
literally just checked 25 journals I was going to submit to and every one of them charges a fee.

Kestrels are such handsome birds. Lots out and about today, their plumage even more striking than usual. This shot captures the colors and patterns well.

Death by Lightning is one of those shows that feels like someone made it just for me. Obscure history, dark humor, Michael Shannon, Michael MacFadyen, & Nick Offerman. Love it.

I used to think Bon Jovi sang "swap spit w/ the sky for you"
My wife’s friend in high school thought the song went “Don’t go, Jason Waterfalls…”

See, I told you to watch All Her Fault! Go now go!
I always wanted to watch “Succession” specifically because of Sarah Snook but I just couldn’t take it. (No, no, I’m not asking for feedback or persuasive.) Thankfully, I just started #AllHerFault and the look she just gave her husband???????? WHEW!!!!!

Is it ambitious to take this many library books to family Thanksgiving? I am halfway through writing my new book, and I need these books to stare at me and ask if I am working.
