ugh I've writing & editing this one poem for 30 years. Every time I think it's done, I soon find myself chiseling at the marble again.

Had a lovely time reading with these spectacular poets!
Me, a hand gesturing poet probably talking about lox. Jason Schneiderman reading a long poem that blew me away. Yerra Sugarman reading from Aunt Bird Jared Harél (the other Jared)

trying to get back in the habit of painting, so i made this kinda classic yates-style guy over the last day or two 🧑‍🎨🎨🧡
acrylic painting in vivid colors, a portrait from the upper-chest up against a brown and beige checkerboard pattern. the left shoulder is blue, the right is red, in the middle up the neck is purple, the chin is orange and pink in curves along the chin, into light green lips, dark green mid-face, gold-yellow nose and forehead with a curve of orange at the very top, the left ear is light blue, the right ear purple, the right eye is light blue, the left eye is pink on top and purple below, with red in a triangle between the eye and nose. the right eye is bigger and curves down a little, both eyes pupil-less with orange, brown, white finger-blended irises

Both of my books & many, many literary journal publications were through contacts I met in the old Twitter poetry community (2016-2023). I've had work published before & after that, but that was definitely the peak.

Sat night I didn't want to stop dancing, but back at work now feeling like I climbed a mountain. I'm like you want me to process payroll? With these aching arms & legs? I may need to type w/ my teeth

anyone have a bad experience bridging your Bsky & Mastodon accounts?

if not, I think I'll do it if I can figure out how. There are people & aspects I like on both apps, so it would be nice to intertwine them.

thinking of bridging my Bsky & Mastodon accounts since someone requested it, but I don't know enough about the bridge bot yet. Any of you have experience w/ it? Drawbacks? Does the bot actually get access to either account?

BBC News, The Guardian UK, & local indie reporting

my novice perception of bridging is it's kinda like old IM aggregators like Trillian allowed you to chat to your ICQ, AIM & MSN Messenger friends at the same time. I'm so internet old.

not for public consumption, but a friend got videos of another friend & me absolutely racing onto the dance floor last night when GNR's "Sweet Child of Mine" & Bell Biv DeVoe's "Poison" played. The music was mostly 80s & 90s, so I was a happy girl.

Being back on Mastodon is refreshing, but I still really miss the kinder, geekier early internet before the masses ruined it.

I'm still posting here more, but there's a lot about Mastodon I've missed, especially this week.
