Simply amazing that the Supreme Court declared an end to legal race discrimination in the affirmative action case two years ago and now allows overt racism in both immigration arrests and redistricting.

Using race to help minorities? Bad. Using it to discriminate against them? Very, very good.
BREAKING: Supreme Court GRANTS Texas request to restore redistricting maps

Truly the stupidest cult. Obsessed with a drug that doesn't work against an infectious disease that they don't even think is real.
In lieu of affordable universal health insurance, Texans will now be given better access to de-worming medication.

Um.... This is an actual judicial opinion (dissenting in the TX gerrymandering case)

This story really gets at the nitty gritty of why Iowa is overflowing with Confined Animal Feeding Operations: the regs just require pieces of paper to be filed, there is no monitoring and the fines if an operator is ever caught are ludicrous, all things that could be fixed easily (charging CAFOs).
Factory Farms in Iowa Generate 110 Billion Pounds of Manure Per Year. No One Tracks Where It’s Going.
Manure management planning could prevent fertilizer pollution. But an antiquated system isn’t doing enough to track manure, a former state employee says.

SCOTUS will state that the California map is too close to the election, but the Indiana map is NOT too close to the election.

Of course they did. AND they will disallow the California map, if Republicans can find lawyers who are competent enough to give SCOTUS any kind of "concepts of a plan" to work with.

It's not just liberal judges they're doing this to. They're doing this to plenty of conservative judges too; judges who actually spent weeks and weeks poring over the details and with their arms deep in the guts of thousands of pages of documents and days of testimony.

Those judges are pissed.

The Supreme Court majority has decided that they are the fact-finders, and the facts are what they want them to be, and quite frankly if District Courts disagree, they can pound sand because they're not the ones in charge.

They're right about the last part. But the damage they're doing is longterm.

Snowfall + moonlight + running trail through the woods = glad to be alive

There are other ways to enable clean energy to be built. Any way that increases fossil fuel production is not a climate solution.

There is a reason oil and gas have been fighting for “permitting reform” since forever.

One underappreciated fact about the green power lobby is that they’re not climate people. They are mostly in and around the the construction industry, actually.

Which makes them only *potential* allies in the climate fight. Right now they’re cozy with our enemies.

That's a 0.7% action rate. 🤦
