The last 24 hours I lurked on Twitter more than anytime since I quit it, and one thing dawned on me - I think there are a lot of libs who actually just enjoy "the fight" .. there is something cathartic about dunking or replying to a conservative making a dumb point, and you obviously lose that here

Like, we were told that we *have* to treat Atlas Intel like they’re legit because of their great 2024 but it’s not being mentioned they’ve consistent been one of their worst polls for the GOP since Trump took office.

There is nothing elected Republicans can do to help their cause going into the midterms. The only thing they can pray for is that Trump sorta goes silent and the admin stops doing anything so that it discourages Dems from showing up in record numbers to vote against them.

I did a Twitter check in just now and saw one thread bemoaning that you can't start a business that refuses to hire mothers and another debating how to increase teen pregnancies, and even though I doubt any libs would be on board, just seeing those conversations as normal has to warp one's brain.

I don't think Newsom will be the nominee although I'm higher on the chances now than I was in late 2024. But its going to be amazing watching this site treat him like he's Mitt Romney and then polling showing that 55% of voters think he's too liberal lol

I like how Dan Bongino was just like yaaaaaaaa having a real job is actually a bit too hard let me just go podcast again and make up shit instead of doing anything about the supposed fraud in an actual government position lol

I think there were apolitical/right leaning parents that were annoyed with school closures but the crying from right wing influencers/politicians was one of the fakest things you've ever seen. These people would abolish public schooling if they could.
I was told that remote learning to avoid a deadly virus was going to destroy our kids' minds for a generation
The thing where ICE parks masked men in school lots is something I would not have believed unless I saw it with my own two eyes. They do it constantly. It’s purely a terror tactic and they’ve done it to schools over the region. Our schools are collapsing - often at 50% attendance or less.

Utah is the third state in the past decade where Republicans have packed their supreme court.
Arizona and Georgia Rs did it in 2016 to secure right-wing majorities.
North Carolina Rs tried it in 2018 to prevent the Dem court from overturning their gerrymanders, but voters rejected their power grab
