In other RPGs the rules can always be ignored, as evidenced by most big creators ignoring most of #D&D 's rules. But, the rules are still there to make it easy for players to act without the DM having to rule at all.

#Daggerheart says it focuses on rulings over rules, but there's a lot more they do to give guidelines on how to make rulings. It's good that it can be open, but also bad in that there's overhead for GMs to come up with what ruling to make when there's little to no guidance.

De-coned. Unbroken. Free.

Fuuka has her recovery cone off finally through a combination of healing and me trimming and rounding her giant back claws down. Still under observation, but look at this face...

Just all the current problems with the traditional studio structure and how so many of them have problems.

i wrote a whole thing about this once as a joke, and it just keeps happening

Also like, if you do form a new studio, include an artist and actually ask them about things. Give them actual responsibility and power over decisions like, say, whether or not to use plagiarized machine generated imagery.

Seeing more employee owned studios pop up and curious to see how they work. Seeing a lot of negativity and caution from comments, but a core aspect of co-ops and employee owned businesses is that the devs have a stake and can try to avoid the failing exec decisions, and get compensated either way.

If you somehow get stuck in crunch, don't eat the crunch food. It's almost always cheap high carb junk, or super rich restaurant food. Stick to your staples, bag it for later if you want, for when you're eating in a non-stressful environment. Avoid the health issues.

The MMR vaccine is one of the most stunningly effective medical therapeutics in existence. It’s also safer than most of your everyday activities. This is simply an attempt to stop people from vaccinating.

YALL.

Remember what I said to yall about preordering. Even if you dont plan on reading an author’s book, preordering is EXTREMELY important because it tells book publishers the kind of books they need to invest more in.

Hi friends. Unfortunately, my time at Heart Machine is coming to an end. I’m seeking a new role and would appreciate your support. Saying goodbye to such a talented team is difficult, but I am excited for the next adventure. <3

I'll have more info soon.

Thanks everyone. Stay strong out there.

The sad thing about the AI generated Sackbird logo and supporting art is that you had a team of artists there and clearly couldn't be bothered to ask what should be fellow owners of the studio about it. Which means things aren't as equal as presented.

I'm pretty sure this is an AI-generated logo. If you look at the other versions of it on their website, every single bird is slightly different (the feet, the head, the bag).

I mean, this sucks, no?
A screenshot of the Sackbird website that says "seek the sack" (horrible) followed by four images of a black bird with a bindle and a human arm. there are minor variations in the art - some birds have bigger heads, or more fingers, or flatter feet.

And networks of employee owned studios that operate frugally could all mutually support and contract out to each other if any one wants to create something bigger than they are capable of.

Yeah, feels like a more easy to play Oath. I'd love to see a variant that goes to 5-6 players even if that means more chaos.

Two big GOP activists from Oregon were in DC last month for meetings with Trump admin officials. On their podcast they talk about a plan they discussed to nullify the results of Oregon's 2026 federal elections. Pass federal voter ID law, then refuse to seat OR delegation because OR didn't comply.
Ep. 18: September to Remember

Also, we proposed a idea how to do a end run on vote by mail. Concept is based on what Trump proposed. When you vote, you check everyone's citizenship as well as voter ID.
In a vote by mail state, you might be able to check citizenship during voter registration. You can send copies of your passport and your birth certificate in.
How in the world are you going to check our voters?
Voter ID, right? Vote by mail. So that creates a problem for Oregon.
But if federal government new requirement is to check both, and if Oregon can comply with the requirements, what would happen to our election result? I'm talking about the entire federal delegation.
For federal elections, we're talking about only federal elections.

So entire federal delegation, congressmen and senators could be challenged, could be unseated because you didn't follow federal requirements to elect them. So I said the trade-off is worth it. You know why?
Democrats control two Senate seats out of six congressional seats. We only control one. They control five.
You talk about trade-off, right?
