In which Zack Budryk perfectly captures the feeling many #ActuallyAutistic people feel in this particular moment of RFK Jr.'s resurgence: We felt like we were turning the corner on autism acceptance. And now we are seeing that door closed off.

I am going pieless for the first Thanksgiving ever, so I cannot participate in this week's extensive pie discourse. Thank you for your consideration at this difficult time.

Just a friendly reminder as we go into the holidays:

Folks don't have to explain to you why they don't drink.

If you offer them a drink and they decline, don't ask them why. It's not your business.

Just offer them something without alcohol to drink instead. And move on.

Lite-Brite. Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots. Toss Across. Mouse Trap. Truly a resume that should be etched in Valhalla.
We have lost a great man. My parents wouldn’t get me Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots (“You’ll knock his BLOCK off”) but they did get me Mousetrap. Years later my kids heard my story of unrequited yearning and got me “Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots.”

That moment followed by his calling a reporter "insubordinate" while shrugging off the murder of a journalist would have ended other presidencies. "Piggy" enraged me less than the silence that followed--the indifference, the cowardice, the collective shrug is what enables the eradication of decency.
I don't know why the "Piggy" thing is bothering me so much. It's one more unforgivable thing in a list of 20,000 unforgivable things, but I've been mad about it for like 12 straight hours.
