A few more photos from my morning with the coyotes from my kayak. The sun had cleared the horizon at this point and the fish left by the commercial fishermen were running out, leading to some scuffles among family members. #mammals 🌿

Last night, @lucyparkerpaul.bsky.social, @cesar-on-safari.bsky.social , Barb and I released the rescued Powerful Owlet (it had been away for 10 days). It seemed to go very well. It and its sibling seemed excited to see each other and trilled a lot. 1/2

I got to spend time with this 2-year-old black bear earlier this summer. You can tell the bear is young by its ears. Black bears tend to grow into their ears. #mammals 🌿

A sweat bee busy looking for snacks. The flower is an aster and the center of the flower contains lots of small florets that produce pollen and nectar. Asters are a wonderful fall food source for lots of insects. #inverts
