If you are in Baltimore, and you haven't had an adult MMR booster or recent titers, now is the time to get that booster! Mumps immunity is more susceptible to waning than measles and it needs a single adult booster after age 18 or so for maximum efficacy!

What is happening: There is an increase in mumps cases in the community"

Everyone should look up jury nullification laws in their state specifically for these heroes
Today i'm celebrating the brave people who faced arrest to theow dildos at ICE. you're all my heroes. I hope for your speedy release, with the belief no jury in your state will convict you.

These are not “like” concentration camps, they ARE concentration camps, and we all need to stop calling them any other bullshit the media is trying to get us to call them instead. “Holding facility” “i c e facility” “staging area.” How do you listen to this and not want to throw up?
"A modern-day concentration camp ... People have been killed by the staff here." Irish citizen Seamus Culleton has been in ICE detention since September, despite having a valid work permit and his own business in the US.

An investigation of which household objects conduct electricity.

Can cheese conduct electricity? Apparently so.

Me: You and cheese both conduct electricity. What do you two have in common?
Student: We are both thick
Me: Ah yes of course

Reminder that this is a *friendly* question from a GOP Senator — and Lutnick still fumbles it all!

I will never get over how the Trump admin is almost universally the least curious people you could appoint to public life.
KENNEDY: The Census Bureau is under your jurisdiction & responsible for defining what it means to be poor, is that right?

LUTNICK: I don't know

K: Well you need to look, bc it does. What's the % of Americans who live below poverty level?

L: I don't know

K: It's around 11%. It's been constant

I've boosted it all I can.
I just want everyone to know that the creator of one of our favorite whistles (the micro bitonal) is a very nice man in Italy who has been messaging me asking if there are things he can tweak in the next version he is designing mostly to help us mass produce these more efficiently to fight ICE.

Amen. This is about the constitutional rights of persons, not just the rights of citizens; and the constitutional limits on the powers of the federal government as well as of those of the state government.

But righteous zeal conveniently ignores rights of appeal.
This is a GWB-appointed judge, and a federal prosecutor, pleading with the American people to understand the power and the beauty of the due process clause, and why it's the bedrock of our constitutional rights.
BONUS RULING: Judge Thomas Johnston, a George W. Bush appoiintee in West Virginia, used a recent ruling to warn of the dangers of defying due process for immigrants because of what it could also mean for Americans. It's worth a read.
