A great reminder that people don’t recognize how fast sub 5 is because we’ve normalized anything over 4.5 being slow.
Showed my kids “Blank Check” on family movie night. I had fond memories of it as a kid. Turns out 11-year-old protagonist has the hots for a grown ass adult who gives him a kiss at the end of the movie and sets a date for when he turns 18. Both mom and I had to side eye each other and ask wtf.
I feel like maybe it’s a function of everyone online being born in 2002 but I don’t think most people realize how openly and explicitly pedophilic american culture was until like… maybe 10 years ago
