Update:

The admin is moving to quickly deport witnesses who saw ICE detainee die.

They say the man was just trying to get his meds.

ICE guards shackled him

Then they choked him.

The admin moved to deport the witnesses — right after they spoke to WaPo.

Reading through the legal act of the EU's Anti-Coercion Instrument - and its definition on "coercion" reads like it was written for Trump's action:

A third country threatening to apply trade measures (here tariffs) interfering in the sovereign choices of an EU member states (Denmark on Greenland).

Further datapoints for how Europeans can no longer trust American elites whether or not Trump is in power

Feels like something cracked today in the transatlantic alliance. Europeans have been swallowing their pride, bitting their tongues, and bending the knee. That strategy may have bought them time but it has now clearly failed. It also had a major cost - it has made the WH think Europe will cave. 1/

While there’s a risk that some European countries might feel like Greenland isn’t worth sacrificing NATO, or at least some continued bilateral defence partnership with the US, luckily Trump has diluted his own threats by scaling US assistance to Ukraine to a minimum.
That leaves Ukraine. Yes the US could stop weapons deliveries and intelligence sharing. That would be disruptive. But Ukraine could withstand it and would call into question the US as a global arms supplier. 7/

Trump will likely try to make Denmark choose between NATO and Greenland, and wider Europe between Greenland and Ukraine.

But luckily Trump has also demonstrated that under his leadership, any US security guarantee won’t be worth much. So the choice should be simple.
What European leaders have been most nervous about is the US pulling back on NATO or Ukraine… but how can Europe trust the US will come to its defense if its trying to seize territory from a NATO country. They can’t. So why cave to keep a security commitment that is not real. 6/

The Telegraph is pro-forces, conservative, and normally well disposed towards America's Republicans.
Its fully justified condemnation of Trump - officially from its editors - is a clear indication that no significant political force in Britain will accept Trump’s dishonourable behaviour.
