Someone who doesn't recognize dry humor might think the speaker is foolish or unfunny.

TLOAS is Taylor Swift's dryest, most deadpan album yet. Dry / deadpan humor are strongly associated with British humor, so perhaps this is why CANCELLED! uses the British spelling

In the clean version, Swift sings "opens my skies." Maybe the explicit version exaggerates the innuendo interpretation while the clean version provides more insight to the metaphor Swift created

I think there's at least 3 layers to Wood:

1. Superstitions
2. Innuendos. Mature people are let in on a joke
3. A metaphor about Swift making things happen rather than relying on luck or others. The poets & readers are let in on a deeper story

It seems like Swift has been into film photography in the past. When you first process film negatives, the colors are inverted.

Idk the exact method they're using to scan negatives, but the digital scans of film negatives start inverted & then are edited to be the final colors.
