So my pie take is there are no bad pies, but some pies have to be eaten a certain way:

1. Pecan: Always good

2. Fruit: Must be homemade. Otherwise bad.

3. Pumpkin: Best eaten cold at 7 am standing over a sink before everyone wakes up
Apple pie is bad. This is not really debatable. So is key lime pie, while we’re on the topic. Pecan pie is the 🐐 tho.

New -- I spoke to a physician warning that AI industry incentives are a "perfect storm" for a public health crisis:

“If we fail to act, we risk letting market forces, rather than public health, define how relational AI influences mental health and well-being at scale.”

When viewing the fake article in Google scholar on my university network, there is a link to access the article via my uni's library. That link sends me to a library page that makes fake article appear real... Turns out library page is made programmatically from info on Google scholar 🤦

The name "Popular Science" doesn't mean we shift our coverage depending on public opinion. It means we cover relevant subjects that are rigorously researched, reliable, and grounded in reality.

And trans lives are grounded in reality.

We see y'all. No matter what.

First-of-a-kind study shows encouraging data for trans kids who socially transition
Ninety-four percent of participants in a new study stood firm in their trans identity after five years, and "detransitioning" is rare.

I’m sorry, but it is disgraceful to be an academic who uses this technology to conduct research. It should be prohibited in all of our scholarly institutions, including universities and journals.

If you tell cis people they have their own methods of afirming their gender, they get mad enough to swallow you whole like an anaconda.

As far as I am concerned, cis people work exactly as hard, if not moreso, than we do at this task.
A guy on Reddit was saying a bar is “for groomers” because it has drag shows and I pulled up his profile and saw he was posting about getting T injections and now he’s mad I keep referring to his gender affirming care as such.

These loathsome creatures who call themselves Democrats seem to believe that every trans person exists on an ice floe you can gently push out to sea. But trans people, besides being people in and of themselves, have families and friends and communities, and now we're coming for you.

I will NEVER vote for a politician who votes for anti-trans legislation. Never. I don't care who it is, it's a dead issue. Move on. If my vote is so important to the future of democracy they should have thought of that before they voted to exterminate my child.
