"Look at how I have been educating myself on trans people," says Ben Ryan, and then posts a picture of books that are mostly anti-trans propaganda, and, hilariously, a stack of papers with a ruler beside them as if we measure quality of information by the centimetre.

These people are ridiculous.

I hate when millennials shit on the younger gens humor because "Robert it's pissing me off" is regularly spoken in our home

Aside from being funny it is actually helpful. Ben knows it means I am overwhelmed and I know it means I have annoyed him with my shenanigans LOL

He has a lot of integrity and is a genuine thinker. I believer Teller has had a big influence on his life behind the scenes, but Penn has always come off as a smart guy with a lot of sincerity and integrity.

Especially with the Bullshit! show they did back in the day. It's always refreshing to see intelligent people actually using that intelligence to be like, "Hey, this crap is actually really wrong. I'm out!"

I knew he was a very smart individual, but his politics always pissed me off for how they so often missed the reality of our times. It's really heartening to see someone that fixed in their ways having the humility and strength to admit being wrong. It brings hope. :)

Good on Penn Jillette. Having to come to terms with your entire political identity and philosophy being wrong is not easy and most people could never do it.

Honestly? Good on Penn Jillette. I didn’t know about this and I’m honestly very happy to hear it. This really does take some real internal consistency and commitment to the truth

I hope this is a sign of things being able to turn around, and people being able to recover from the far-right pipeline

What an odd thing to find from a Japanese gaming magazine (Dengeki PC Engine, 12-1993).

Shout out to @gamingalexandria.bsky.social for scanning/uploading all these magazines.

I love anime girls with magical orbs in video games. They used to be really prevalent in the late 80s to mid 90s. You know, those solid, spherical objects, often floating in the air. Here's just a small collection of such girls (I'll leave out obvious fortune tellers):

This 40-page manual was sold separately. The manual that came with the packaged game is thinner with only 16 pages.

I love the Eggerland/Adventure of Lolo series. ♥️ If only HAL Laboratory would release a new entry in the series. Even an Eggerland/Lolo collection would be great.

31 Days of #NES40th October Celebration

Day 10: Adventures of Lolo trilogy

Developed by HAL Laboratory, they are puzzle games. You play as Lolo to solve puzzles and collect gem in each level.

Perhaps we could see a revival or Adventures of Lolo 4 someday.

In recent years I quite liked Ufouria: The Saga (Metroidvania-ish platformer, Sunsoft) and Adventures of Lolo (puzzle, reminds me of defensive chess playing). (They seemed obscure to me at least!)
