Most of the problems in the US would be solved if the government would take a direct hand in fixing them rather than allowing contractors to overcharge taxpayers for a shitty job that they’ll have to come back and fix next year. I want public Internet, public healthcare, DOT fixing roads themselves-

One of my favorite people passed this morning. We’re all pillars in this world, and as we leave, the world shifts away from the influence we had on it. Doug was welcoming and warm. The world feels less so today.
