I agree. I don't trust that Canadians will not be harassed even when we are not required to provide this social media data. There are many other countries with beaches, nice climates, and great people where Canadians can go without the hassle. Isolated is a lonely way to live.

It's not just social media. Looks like visitors to the US from Europe and other countries that are part of the visa waiver program will have to submit an enormous amount of data about themselves and their families, including DNA, if proposed new rules are accepted

Canadians apparently are under another protocol so the media is reporting that 99% of Canadians will not have to do this. However given what we have been seeing from the United States I have concerns that there still will be harassment. Where do you get this data? Just tell us to stay out of the US.

The IOC needs to be disbanded. Whatever values the IOC claims to hold are lost when they then bring terrorist states back into competition. I won't be watching the Olympics under these circumstances. I encourage people not to attend the games.

I think it has to do with single-use plastics being manufactured from oil and Alberta needs places to sell the oil. This is part of the UCP agenda - provincial revenues are very dependent on the sale of O&G whether for fuel, products, etc.
ICYMI like I did: Mark Carney has abandoned our ban on the manufacture, import & sale of single-use plastic items. Because if Canada needs anything, it's more plastic trash.
There's no measurable benefit to Canadians here. It's just actively making things worse.
