We need to build up European military capabilities swiftly.
Strengthening European defence and supporting Ukraine are not separate tracks.
They are mutually reinforcing priorities.

On the tube in London today with my wife and find ourselves the only ones wearing a mask (I have history of respiratory illness). Meanwhile the NHS is declaring major incidents because of flu. Have the lessons (and the deaths) of covid been forgotten already?
