I was hoping that my first bsky post would be more cheerful. I recently joined NIH (NIEHS) as a PO. I fought hard for this position and was so excited to support health science from a new vantage point… I picked up my life and moved to NC. Unfortunately, my time at NIEHS was short lived.

Our next president will have to be technologically competent, at least , in order for us to sustain our place in the world.

This will become increasingly obvious over the next 4 years as AI gets more powerful

This isn’t necessarily bad. Truly. Done right, we will be a better, more equal society

Je pense que c’est sous-estimer l’histoire de ce pays, particulièrement les luttes des années 60. Attendons de voir la suite. Vous avez peut-être raison. L’histoire nous le dira.

Thank you, dear Antonio! We cannot exclude the possibility of Prx2 phenocopying Prx1. Our models have low to undetectable Prx2. Given their structural and localization similarities (i.e., nuclear), I would not exclude this possibility. More to come…

Leveraging metabolism-focused CRISPR screen, we established a gene dependency map between DNA damage response and metabolism.
We identified peroxiredoxin 1 as a key driver of resistance to ATM inhibition.

I don’t see how your work is going to reshape the field. Of course, I don’t know either. 😂😂
