there’s stuff circulating about Wikipedia and AI; I’d ask that you dig into this thread before getting concerned.
Sure. AI companies have ALWAYS been training their models on Wikipedia content, which under the free and open access model is available to anyone — including AI companies. Agreements like these require AI companies to limit and offset the strain they place on Wikimedia infrastructure.
Hoping that @molly.wiki can help explain.

My earliest memory of Animal Crossing is getting kicked off the Official Nintendo UK VIP forum for talking about how best to import it.
I eventually returned and we used a codename instead.
Eventually the Action Replay for GameCube arrived and everything changed forever.
