Making it so that hiding your trans status to "trick" someone into having sex with you is illegal is just giving fuel to the people who were going to commit violence against trans femmes anyway, and it further dehumanizes an already vulnerable group by blaming them for the transphobia killing them.

And the idea of trans women tricking straight men into having sex with them is all based on bullshit anyway - often men *knew* going in that their partners were trans, but then when someone *else* found out about it they claimed they were tricked to save their fragile masculinity and identity.

What's really annoying about all this is that I don't know a single trans person in my life who hasn't discussed the fact that they're trans with potential partners before sex even comes close to happening. Why? Because they don't wanna be hate crimed by the "surprised" person.

The whole plot is about how he ruined his own life by treating the "monster" like shit!! It's a tragedy, and the monster is super sympathetic! This is more true to the book than most Hollywood adaptations WHAT ARE YOU ON ABOUT

Tbh for me it seems more like a man belittling his partner for desiring physical intimacy from him, as if she's inconveniencing him by wanting that. "It's her fault the relationship didn't work because she's too clingy" etc.

I haven't played most PS1/PS2/Xbox era games, nor almost anything that was on GB/GBA. Despite loving video games as a kid, my mom refused to let us have them in the house until my stepdad's mom went behind her back to give us a GameCube for Christmas when I was 12.
