Like many I am not satisfied with the current state of things. Not in my city, my country, the world.
It is easy to focus on the immediacy of this dissatisfaction, all the things that feel 'wrong'.
Worse, it is easy to allow that to define our reality, to focus only on pushback/1

No one is "personally responsible" for policy change. People can contribute greatly but we need to DEAD the idea that a single person is ever responsible. It's unhelpful and it's also not how change happens.

So much this. There was absolutely zero pushback to the “open borders” narrative. Heck, nowadays, I see that a lot of Democrats have even adopted it. It absolutely sunk him.

the reason why the right was able to use immigration so effectively isnt because of any material policy change under the biden. the minute he won the right began saying he opened the border. the democratic response was no response so the right's narrative dominated. and that happened for 4 yrs.

I'm legitimately not sure what the party stance is on immigration and the border because they continually fail to define it.
