of course, it was quite an imperfect democracy (but so was Canada's)
i'm unsure most of us will be around to witness / support the next earnest US democracy project, but i hope it eradicates all the loopholes that made a coup / takeover possible

Kind of a shame that so few of the most ambitious Senate Dems want to rise in leadership (rather than become governor or president) and the few who do are under Schumer’s wing.
It's extraordinarily rare for a political event to break through to such a widespread degree as this. Dems should seize on it! This is resonating big time in exactly the info spaces that Dems struggle to reach, as I try to argue in this piece:
This is incredible: 81% of working class and 83% of young voters have seen video of Renee Good's killing, per new data I've obtained. Majority of working class disapproves of ICE enforcement. ICE brutality is breaking through big time.

After threatening action in Iran, Trump walked it back this afternoon saying he'd been told “the killing in Iran is stopping, has stopped, and there’s no plans for executions.” Trump also said: “We were given a very good statement by people that are aware of what’s going on.” 🤦🏼♀️
