All the Water on Europa

Illustration Credit & Copyright: Kevin Hand (JPL/Caltech),
Jack Cook (Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution), & Howard Perlman (USGS)
APOD mirror site: www.star.ucl.ac.uk/~apod/apod/a...
Digitally created image comparing the sizes of Europa (small sphere on the left) and Earth (larger sphere on the right). Additionally all of the water has been removed from these bodies and formed into their own spheres for volume comparison with the water sphere of Europa significantly larger than the Earth's water orb.

I've been putting bananas and half an apple into my breakfast smoothies so I get those needed good bits.

But sometimes I forget to prep it and wake up too late so I then get McD's breakfast burritoes and a DP on the way into work

That Moebius sketch is perfection.

The man probably just farted that out like it was nothing.

TRON [1982]
Not only the visual and SFX were way ahead of its time, but legends of art & illustration worked on it. Here some concept art from Syd Mead and Moebius and some behind the scene photos of Jeff Bridges & Cindy Morgan in costume.

Hate those, worst way to wake up from a nightmare or stressful dream.

The rehabber and sanctuary plan to either release her down in Texas in a month or so where the Gray Bats go on migration or just wait until Spring and release her at the cave again when the bats return.
wigmund.bsky.social
Unfortunately when they tried to release the bat, she would only flutter a few feet before falling to the ground. Either she was too full after stress-eating a dozen mealworms or cramped from the cage and a 2 hour car ride.
wigmund.bsky.social
They did tests and found the bat's wing was healing naturally and didn't need to be removed or worked on. After several months, the Gray Bat was healed and ready to be released on September 23rd..which was delayed to the 26th by heavy thunderstorms.
wigmund.bsky.social
The bat was originally found with a broken wing after being washed out of Cave Springs Cave after the area received 5+ inches of rain in the early summer in a short amount of time. She was then taken in by Ginger Pittman, a rehabber down in Clarksville.
