Finally took the nuclear option when dealing with a persistently unresponsive supplier and sent an unsolicited meeting invite to our account manager. It actually worked! They got the right people together and we got the info we needed 🤯

Solidarity, once more, with the staff at the British Library. The people who keep it going and who make it what it is should not be on poverty wages and living in fear of abuse from angry users. Something needs to change!
Due to ongoing strike action, all St Pancras Reading Rooms will be closed today (8 December). We are also likely to have to close our Reading Rooms for the rest of the week and will update if this is the case. Please make sure you check our service updates before you visit: bit.ly/StrikeAction...

Can anyone recommend a shop for comfy women's trousers that last? Think I'm apple-shaped and seem to fall right between sizes at White Stuff. Wondering about Seasalt or Rapanui.

The onslaught of big business capitalism is getting me down, so thought I'd do a very short thread of things I recommend that are on sale today.

I need to sell 28 more of these before Christmas if I want to break even on the design. We're over half way there so fingers-crossed that new people keep wanting them!
I really wasn't exaggerating when I said my Christmas tree pride pins were detailed. Each of these baubles is just over 2mm! canopyrobin.etsy.com/listing/4405...

Chris has a great eye for a bargain and a decent game - popped some of these on my wishlist to check out over the weekend (and I second the Picross recommendation)

Right, as promised, here's 30 personal recommendations from yer man Scullion for the current Black Friday sale on the UK Nintendo eShop.

To stress: this is the UK sale. Some of these will be in the US too, but not all are.

It's also far from an exhaustive list!

Totally lovely story to heal your heart this morning
We lived in a pub when I was growing up and when I was 3 (50 years ago!) we had someone in to draw the pub for a business card. I sat next to him and watched him draw every line. I was transfixed and it was a huge inspiration for me. I’ve dreamt about owning that drawing for years…

Strong agree with Laura, I felt exactly the same when I had to stop giving blood. If you're eligible to donate I highly recommend giving it a go! Details for UK folk in the thread
So a plea to my followers: if you can (and I know there are many who can't, for many reasons, no need to apologise/explain), would you consider donating blood? Especially if you've never done it before. I will feel less upset about being removed from the donor pool if I can recruit some new donors!

My mum has been making needle felted mice for a few years and enjoys challenging herself with new themes and ideas. She's just set up her first exhibition at the stately home she volunteers at, with a family of period mice. Incredible.
