Have I given up the battle, only time will tell? For now, you'll find me in the orchard, out cycling or mooching around in my camper.

And Fuerteventura way 🚲 😊
It's still a wonderful feeling, eating the freshly picked raspberries whilst picking the tomatoes, although quite a few of those will be eaten before they get to the kitchen.

We will be properly honouring ‘Daniel Hannan Day’ on Tuesday with all the requisite pomp, circumstance & documentary evidence of what an irredeemable arse he is that you would expect. Elevating our world’s wrongest man to the House of Lords will always be the essence of Brexit.
Do join us…
24 June 2025 is this Tuesday coming.
There's still time.
Don't stop Beleaving.

Somehow managed to make it through 12 years of schooling and an English degree without reading The Grapes of Wrath until now, and what better way to escape the moment than reading about people displaced by climate disaster and technology

The last *seven days*?
What *we* have *always feared*?
What an irredeemable fraud he is.
Gets a whole chapter in ‘How They Broke Britain’.
And here he is now, ‘seeing the light’.

Danny Dyer voiceover: “Twat.”
Any pruning or apple tree climbing tips other than green wellies being the perfect footwear?

Good morning all! 🇺🇦

Please share everywhere. 🙏🏻
Mixed half and half with my Salt Pot, too sweet last year's cider made for an excellent drink.
Emptied the old garage / brewing shed of 30 years of accumulated detritus into hastily erected temporary army tent prior to anticipated erection of replacement at the end of the month. Will spend most of today attempting to secure said tent to planet earth in anticipation of tomorrow's hooley.

I'm not sure if I've read this correctly, but I'm sure it'll be quite a party 🎉.

I love how Trump, Vance and Musk style themselves defenders of free speech, while simultaneously banning government agencies from mentioning climate change or diversity (inc biodiversity!), equity and inclusion, or even possessing maps which show the Gulf of Mexico.
Torquemadas the lot of them.

Question Time last night was pretty fierce. And had to be. There's a deliberate effort now to shift the ground: towards appeasement, inhumanity and authoritarianism. Once more, we must resist it. We must fight hard for kindness.

At least you're our not riding that moped delivering shit food to people too lazy to put on a coat!
Something about a buttered muffin?
If anyone wants proof that vegetables are good for you, this is it. Avara foods pay their employees by pumping their chicken shit into the River Wye and it's catchment, killing the river and destroying a once healthy tourist industry.

Labour bending over to appease Murdoch or trying to imitate the right will not help matters. The billionaire press barons only care about money, not policy, or even Britain. We need a govt that takes a firm stand for the majority and remembers its roots, not Poundland one nation Tories.
The sad part for me was that I'd become concerned about Letbys conviction a long time ago after reading threads on Twitter and then X. A reminder that Twitter / X was a useful tool before it fell into disrepair.

Having robbed our youth of the freedoms we enjoyed whilst in the EU, surely a youth mobility scheme is the least we can give them - it falls far short of “free movement” because it only allows individuals to come for a limited period & does not allow them to settle in the UK or EU member state
The book I spent many a happy hour quoting to a fishing pal. 'Dam, he's smashed me gut' was a regular refrain during our largely unsuccessful fishing trips. My pal, in the style of Mr Crabtree, 'I'll use this beautiful Hardy split cane thing of beauty Peter, you can use this beaten up old stick".
