Many people are saying the Yankees were treated very unfairly. You hear it more and more. Some of the games were rigged. They're a wonderful bunch of guys. It's just terrible. Give them an automatic WS. The trophy is a bust of my face. It's really spectacular. No one has ever seen anything like it.

That's what I was getting at in my initial reply, yep. The "King" framing puts the entire focus on Trump, not the system that created him. It also absolves capitalism and removes it from the equation by strawman substituting an imagined feudalism in its place that we can defeat instead of capitalism

It's fine. Like I get it. This is where the mainstream "resistance" is at right now and we gotta start somewhere. I'm just being grouchy because I haven't had coffee yet. But we have to advance from this stage to the next. We can't just keep doing protests. There has to be a next phase of resistance

It's a deliberate framing choice by liberals who are not prepared to confront the reality of the situation we are in or how we got here. The system isn't "broken," it is operating exactly how it was meant to, funneling wealth into the hands of a few. This is the inevitable end stage of capitalism.

The entire No Kings framing is bullshit. Trump isn't trying to be a King, he's trying to be a fascist dictator. Liberals want us to focus solely on Trump rather than address the structural flaws that created the oligarchy that empowers him, because that would require dismantling capitalism.

The only thing that anyone ever needs to know about Bill Ackman is that he once joined a group of avid long distance bikers from NYC to Montauk and back without training or preparation, arrogant in his ability to "lead the pack" and ended up screaming in agony
The others fell in behind, at first struggling to keep up with the alpha leader. But soon enough Ackman faltered—at Mile 32, Ackman recalls—and fell way behind the others. He was clearly “bonking,” as they say in the cycling world, which is what happens when a rider is dehydrated and his energy stores are depleted. While everyone else rode back to Loeb’s East Hampton mansion, one of Loeb’s friends, David “Tiger” Williams, a respected cyclist and trader, painstakingly guided Ackman, who by then could barely pedal and was letting out primal screams of pain from the cramps in his legs, back to Bridgehampton. “I was in unbelievable pain,” Ackman recalls. As the other riders noted, it was really rather ridiculous for him to have gone out so fast, trying to lead the pack, considering his lack of training. Why not acknowledge your limits and set a pace you could maintain? As one rider notes, “I’ve never had an experience where someone has gone from being so aggressive on a bike to being so hopelessly unable to even turn the pedals…. His mind wrote a check that his body couldn’t cash.”
