jokes and traditions this way: maybe by surprising the other with a silly mask or giving the other something sweet as a "treat". When they return to Baldur's Gate and settle down for a while, they both partake in city traditions again. Meliahwyl would help make a costume for their adopted daughter!

Some places may have welcomed or engaged her in their activities more than others. When she travels with Wyll immediately postgame, they experience this together - but this time, his presence means bringing a little bit of home with them wherever they go. As an adventurer, Meliahwyl got to learn about and experience the different ways different cultures and locations celebrate their Halloween equivalent. Her ability to partake directly was probably somewhat determined by how long she spent in a particular place (continued)

I think sitting down to a warm pot of butternut squash-apple soup with Wyll while watching the leaves fall would be an ideal autumn evening for her. Meliahwyl doesn't mind the cold as much as I do, so she enjoys being outside and experiencing the repetitious cycles of change that each season offers.

Meliahwyl is foraging and harvesting plants, herbs, and berries to make seasonal teas and poultices! She loves being able to provide herself and someone else with a warm cup full of the scents of the season. It's also important to stock on up medicinals before winter.

Generally no, but very rarely someone will try to call Meliahwyl "Mellie". Karlach is the only person allowed to do so with any regularity. Shadowheart and Astarion have used it tongue-in-cheek a few times, and Wyll might use it only if he's in a pinch and speaking very quickly.

Meliahwyl isn't also as confident as, say, Bones. Zhaan captures a little of her inner turmoil, different though it may be. Maybe there's a little dash of Pearl Steven Universe in there. Basically characters I either resonate with or look up to 😅😂

I think Meliahwyl would have trouble understanding the appeal at first. She would much prefer getting lost in actual woods, but she'd understand that this is safer for citizenry. A corn maze she would understand more than a hedge maze: ultra-manicured spaces make her feel uncomfortable.

Maybe it's the diaspora or maybe it's just projection, but I relate Meliahwyl's elvishness to my Jewishness. I imagine her speaking Elvish being like the Yiddish I never learned. Instead of Yuletide, my friend and I like to joke that she, a druid, celebrates Sylvannukah 😂
