The Trump administration has been spreading anti-vaccine propaganda for months. Tonight, Trump's physician announced he just received a flu shot and a COVID booster.

I like the title. Short and to the point :)

Someone well-meaning wrote to me saying that I should be careful making jokes about certain people who were not picked for the Nobel Peace Prize.

I shrugged; there is no apPEASing some folks.

Besides, it’s not like I made a crank call from a Norwegian phone number in the middle of the night.

I don’t think this is a controversial opinion but …

Indian style mutter-paneer definitely deserves the Nobel peas prize this year

Congratulations to Drs. Ramsdell, Brunkow, and Sakaguchi! I actually didn’t realize until today that PNRI’s David Galas was a part of the project to identify the genetic basis of the “scurfy” mice that led to Tregs. (@pnrigenetics.bsky.social) David’s legacy has touched more than I can imagine!

If you intentionally wrote price (or pea-rice) instead of prize, I tip my hat to you

Are you really believing the purported reason for attacks on academia? Project 2025 was drafted long before the horrific Hamas attacks on October 7.

Thank you @nytopinion.nytimes.com for publishing this rot. Marc Rowan has run hundreds of companies into the dust to extract profits from their failure and bankruptcies. Now he wants to do the same to American higher education. Do not believe a word this man says. 1/ www.nytimes.com/2025/10/10/o...

Lol the Nobels can't even acknowledge women's contribution to discovery. But sure let's acknowledge The Machines.
Headline from an article in Nature this week that states "Prizes must recognize machine contributions to discovery. The future of science will be written by humans and machines together. Awards should reflect that reality."

Just saw a post which misspelled 'Machine learning' as 'Machine earning', and I wondered if that was a Freudian slip.

Today my @nytimes.com colleagues and I are launching a new series called Lost Science. We interview US scientists who can no longer discover something new about our world, thanks to this year‘s cuts. Here is my first interview with a scientist who studied bees and fires. Gift link: nyti.ms/3IWXbiE
