Hello new followers! 👋

I’m Rowan, master drakesmith and lover of all things fantasy. I create magical art for you to adorn yourself and home, and delightful tools and patterns to help you create, too!

There’s a whole lot of wonder in store at windloftworkshop.com

Whoo hoo, just sold my first copy of this pattern! Help me get the word out to more holiday crafters! Could really use the sales after a slow sales year.

The tech industry giving solutions to problems that don’t exist is their brand, it seems. That and raising investor capital with ridiculous pie-in-the-sky ideas with no practical merit. Glad they have a hobby though. Good for them!
Oh wow, 3 months eh? At least it’s not quite like having to go around with TRex arms after top surgery. 😅 Def will be cool to follow along and learn, so, I’m glad you’ll be sharing that!
Been thinking about ya and this upcoming surgery lately, including just today! Was wondering, how long is the recovery time for this type of surgery, typically? Dreaming about getting it for myself one day. Testosterone coming first tho!
That burger seems terribly overdone to me. Also I KNOW that one guy’s scream that keeps playing from SOMEwhere and it’s driving me crazy…very entertaining BTW.
And don’t forget, indirect sunlight only. So like, give it a little umbrella to survive the inferno, I dunno…
I was only able to bring myself to post a request a couple times. The silence that came in return was too gutting to try again. I stick to posting my shop links because I’m more comfortable with that, though that turns up nothing either. But at least this way I don’t have the shame to deal with. 🤷‍♂️
Those turned out so awesome! Love the expressivity and life in the eyes. Definitely a nice upgrade in all aspects.
Wow, I too thought for sure this was a 3D render. When I look closer though, I can see the choices you make in terms of brushes, colour and painting method. Very beautiful work, and so informative for study purposes! Your dragons would look stunning as collectible figures à la McFarlane’s dragons.
This is mega adorable. What a cute shy/demure pose!
Hey thanks for the follow! And OMG you’re my doppelgänger in the realm of crafting according to your profile! I think I ticked all those boxes…LOL
Another oldie but goodie. This was for a client project, a limited edition craft beer label design that was ultimately silkscreened in light grey on black powder coated glass bottles. I had never drawn skeletons and I got immediately hooked on all the fun details!

It’s always a relief to see that my crude initial sketches are perfectly “normal” when I see other artists do the same. Thanks for sharing!! A sketch like this is really all I need sometimes to get the point across to myself. Almost like drawing what a dream looks like.
Welp, I know what nightmarish thing I’ll be seeing when I close my eyes in bed tonight! 👁️👁️
That’s a REALLY good client concept sketch in terms of conveying what they want, wow! They totally got their idea across and you more than nailed it in the execution.
Oooooh one of my fave dragon design types, those!
Ugggh, I knew at 6 years old it wasn’t going to be happening for me. I’d get so infuriated when folks would insist they knew what was in my head better than I did. Invalidation was kind of a key element of growing up though, so, kinda fit the theme. LOL
Real nice meticulous paint job. Bet that took some time to complete!
I’ve never really considered myself much of a cartoonist, but I think I’m getting the hang of it! Fall is such a delightful time of year, and this little dude couldn’t agree more.

Ugh. I’d say have fun but…also, I’ll be like three years late with mine! LOL For whatever reason we don’t start here till 50. My dad’s always had precancerous polyps and everything. Apparently have to find the magic words to get me booked “early.” Seems nuts, with how early people get colon cancer.
