Watched about half of ANH Special Edition and it best serves to show what a great editor Marcia Lucas is. Everything added slows the movie down or weakens the overall scene.

TBH, the biggest problem is just deciding to set it "in character" so you can't have Darth Vader dancing next to Kylo Ren. It shouldn't be one trilogy, it should be all the trilogies.
