one of my absolute fave photographers. discovering him changed how i thought about what photography can be.

i wish there were an affordable reprint of this book.
In 1983 German photographer Jaochim Brohm, on a Fulbright at OSU, did a photo series of Columbus, Ohio and environs. He nailed the assignment.

While listening Jean-Claude Eloy his music I just read he passed away this Wednesday.
Only discovered his music this year, and jumped straight on with three CD boxes.
Amazing work, some of my favourite I heard this year.
RIP

Was chatting about this Bernhard Günter album yesterday and I was surprised to learn how many folks had heard of his music, but not really heard it. He seems to have gone under the radar a bit which is unfortunate.

Remains classic and impeccable in its simplicity, concept, and execution.

The people at Delayed in NYC did a profile of the wonky little label that me and @dj-surgeon.bandcamp.com shepherd along:

Kelly and some classics.

Showing Up is even funnier on second viewing. Michelle Williams' beaten down body language is comedic genius.

Really loving @dan-bean.bsky.social's new record. Compositions for bass guitar and 303 that subvert any and all expectations of that instrumentation. Great stuff!

a lot of press questions of late have been like “so, many new yorkers are concerned that if zohran wins then their city will turn into portland bc we also elected a bunch of socialists” and i’ve been like “well they probably think that’s pretty rad, we’ll see”

pretty fucking rad indeed it seems
