So many people scolded anyone who pointed this out at the time. "They're just saying it to get elected and then they'll do the old switcheroo." No. They said it because they meant it.
I've said it a hundred times but it was all there in Labour's manifesto. People are just fodder for the economic meatgrinder to them. It's dehumanising and disgusting.

See, here's the problem. They need something more substantial than a tiny LED to alert people that they're recording. Maybe a loudspeaker that repeatedly blasts WARNING! NONCE FILMING

People wearing Nonce Glasses thinking they're the victims

I think if someone is wearing Nonce Glasses around you, it is your civic duty to smash them
In terms of what’s understood to be socially acceptable behavior, normalizing the filming/taking pictures of people in public who are minding their own business (and putting it online) is one of the worst developments of the past 15 years.
Woman Hailed as Hero for Smashing Man's Meta Smart Glasses on Subway
A New York subway rider has accused a woman of breaking his Meta smart glasses. She was later hailed as a hero.

Did a great dad joke earlier. Eldest child was trying to make a gingerbread house, struggling, said: "this gingerbread woman won't get her right leg in". Me: well, she'd be rubbish at the hokey cokey! 😀
Child: 😑😐🙂🤣

But, life being stressful can make you ill. This is well known. You can argue about diagnostic criteria if you must, but you can't over diagnose anything. Either the patient in front of you meets the criteria for a diagnosis or not. There's not a guaranteed 50,000 new cases of depression a year!

Always amused (not amused) at how regularly the idea that there is a 'right' amount of mental ill-health in British society and that we must somehow return there. Declaring the correct amount of mental ill-health based on what you are prepared to pay to mitigate its effects isn't how reduction works

Just as relevant this morning. Do some minimal research FFS. This is policy based on vibes. And bad vibes at that.

people who are not stupid are saying that using waste heat as a power source is like, way less efficient than not generating the electricity that results in waste heat to begin with
Data centres are energy hungry but what if we could use their waste heat to heat our homes?

That's exactly what happens in places like Finland: Cities are tapping the vast amounts of waste heat generated by data centres, and feeding it into district-heating networks.

I see Wes Streeting is now coming for ADHD "over diagnosis". No it's not over diagnosed, there are thousands of kids who'd benefit from medication right now who are struggling because there's a massive waiting list, sort that out instead, shut up, keep shutting up, and fuck off

I walked past the shops - and we have a functioning post office here, by the way - but instead people prefer to stand in the rain jabbing at a screen that doesn't work at the royal mail parcel robot outside the Premier store. What a fucking world
