Reading the wikipedia on Bela Lugosi lead to "Shadowland Magazine" which was about movies and theater and I just opened on up randomly on archive.org and man 1920s ads were just way better than ours.

Two full page ages in a magazine, both have like walls of text, one about watches talks about Queen Charlotte of England and history instead of like flashing images and clickbait ads. I know this is a boring take but this is MY bsky account I can type whatever boring shit I want!!

It'd be interesting to have a lot more data points on this too. Like what genre is the less than one game a year player playing (assumptions would be football/sports, then 2 a year being like FPS multiplayer stuff etc, but would be interesting to know)

Yeah! They cost way, as in WAY, more money than anyone south of CEO would ever comfortably spend on something that isn't vitally important! There are ways to change that!
