Currently in #SupportHell where I'm trying to do something but I keep getting HTTP 429 errors due to some stuck DDOS protection, and all the support person keeps doing is sending me to KB articles on how to use their website or how the clear my browser cache. This isn't going to end well, is it?

@proton.me I'm looking into get a Proton sub for me and my wife. I want the be less reliant on big US tech companies. However, the only payment options you support are still from big US firms (Mastercard, Paypal and Google). Why no iDeal/Wero support?

@ec.europa.eu I know some commission is investigating X for breaking DSA rules, but are they also looking into how X has a built-in feature to generate CSAM?

Seriously, anytime I get the feeling there might be something to these #AI coding tools, they do something so stupid I'm assured they will never replace actual programmers.

I'm in a large toy store. They have #Nintendo #Switch (2) and #Sony #Playstation. Then somewhere in the corner a few #XBox games, that's it. Just a stack of 20 or so. No hardware, nothing. Pretty sure XBox is done for.

Saw part of a video from #ThePrimeTimeagen where he wondered why artist don't like AI using their art, but coders seems to mind less AI using their code. I'm thinking it's because coders are already sharing and reusing code.

If devs/publishers genuinely believed AI was 'the future of game design', they wouldn't cry so hard about having to disclose use of it on their steam pages.

It dawned on me that #MCP is the worst possible way to connect apps together. Instead of a simple, efficient, LOCAL protocol, we get a one connected through an algorithm that requires climate destroying levels of power, is a CISO's worst nightmare and has to share all the data with its supplier.

Figured I give #passkeys another go. They've been out for a while now, surely things have improved since the last time.
Except, they have not. I use #1Password. Sometimes my browser can get the passkey, other times it can't. Same for my Android phone. Sometimes it works, but mostly it doesn't.
