10 years ago I was lucky to see the Maestro live for the first time.
Last night we got to see John Carpenter and his band tear the roof off the Belasco on the first night of his residency.
A true celebration of Carpenter’s work both visually & musically and an event not to be missed.

He loves a challenge, was asked in Sept to direct a film shot in Jan & leapt @ the challenge to shoot a low budget film on a 20 day schedule!

It’s a fantastic return to form for the director.

It’s a stylish, well paced real life crime film about a man taking revenge on the mortgage company who screwed him over.

Two Prosecutors @ #AFIFEST was effectively disturbing.

This Kafkaesque tale of a man lost in an evil bureaucracy is from a story by a dissident imprisoned for 20 years.

Depicting Stalin’s Purge of 1937, this is def a fascist period to be aware of as we slide closer toward political imprisonment.

If the country is ruled by one guy who’s immune to criminal prosecution and impeachment is off the table despite his public boasts about all the crimes he’s doing then it’s harder to explain how the Constitution is still in effect than it is to say that the U.S. is currently a dictatorship.

I’m disgusted by the photos of Ttump’s demolition at the East Wing, but I’m even more sickened by the renderings of his mar-a-lago ballroom dwarfing our White House. Once we’re rid of this despicable man, that ballroom must also be removed.
