I know Mike is using this as a bit of PR, but I'd love it if after YEARS of this, Steam actually did anything meaningful against the harrassment of the ppl that make it money. I know no private company regulates shit anymore, but to me this should be a bigger deal than it is

I'm not saying this is good, but if I only looked at the Rikiya recast because I wanted to talk about the one vharacter I was focused on, I wouldn't know where to easily slip "oh btw other dude is a pest". I think that just doesn't go with the theme of change in this, though it's a big, bad change!

I wouldn't call a three-year hiatus unaffected exactly, although I don’t know if he's been in Kabuki in the meantime. I guess being both a Todai grad and the son of Ichikawa Ennosuke III is an advantage

The watercolours are beautiful, his characters are Ghibli-esque, and I feel a huge love for everyday life coming from his work. I enjoyed this a lot more than the very popular Houses with A Story by Yoshida Seiji(sorry) The book has both Japanese and English text.

You might know that I collect books of illustrative art. I wanna introduce you to a huge hit, Imaginary Storefronts by Mateusz Urbanowicz. You might know his book Tokyo Storefronts! This is a fantastic book of his own store designs, complete with lil stories of their owners and patrons.

I LOVE the Final Fantasy Tactics voiceover. I will always spend full price for a game I already own if it adds VO. Joe Pitts really is the Ramza of my dreams. Also again struck by the FFT localisation, would love to know more about it

We still finish. Without the side stuff, E33 clocks in at 30hrs. The reasons things like this aren't brought up in reviews in detail are different.

I think the friction between telling a story and designing a story that's meant to be played by people is one of the most interesting bits of narrative design, andcI agree you don't have to give players everything! I just think this game isn't a great example

The endings have been a large Clair Obscur bugbear of mine because one of them invalidates everything you've done during your playthrough, which to me is a much higher emotional cost, while the other casts you as bad. Sandfall says these endings are equal, but they're not set up that way

Bit sad that there seem to be next to no reviews for this. I enjoyed the demo so I bought it, chiefly because this is the worst month/year/timeline to release your game and I enjoy Trinket Studios. Would be cool if they got to make another game and hire me for it😅

Dear supporters of Bitmap Books,

Although I stand by the fact that Moses’ comments were ill-advised and insensitive, the whole thing blew up and was made much bigger than it needed to be. Moses has publicly apologised for any offence caused, as has the original poster of the comments who did not intend to cause this much trouble. I do not feel that this warrants an author losing his livelihood and ruining years of hard work to produce the book.

Despite multiple accusations to the contrary, Moses freely agreed to donate his royalties to charity. There was no coercion from me, however we both recognise that due to an increasingly stressful situation that decisions were rushed on both sides. I’m pleased to say that Moses and I have spoken again today, we stand together, and have agreed that he will receive 100% of his royalties.

Maybe I was hasty in my response, and I’m happy to admit to that. At the time I sincerely thought I was doing the right thing to diffuse an increasingly difficult situation. I will commit to donating all company profits from this first print run to the charity, Special Effect.

The bottom line is that is that Moses has apologised for his original comments, and will now be paid the royalties that are rightfully his.

Moses and myself have received a large amount of personal abuse and threats over the past few days. We hope that this statement will bring some closure to what has happened.
