I was a bit nervous where I lived previously which was only a slightly conservative area. Now that I'm living in a small conservative town that VERY MUCH knows my family, I'm a bit more so. Though, the wheels, the ARE a-turnin 🤔

For me, it can also be nice to make it easier to filter out ambient noises. My adhd can make it easy to lose focus from random sounds. The headphones don't help much from other distractions, but can at least alleviate that.

whisper levels. It's just difficult for me to understand how others perceive things (wish more folks were open to calmly explaining such things) and I suppose I just tend to overcompensate so as not to be a bother. Not worrying about "being a bother" is something I'm trying to wean myself off of.

Pretty sure a lot of it is due to not wanting to annoy people and not really understanding where that line may lay. I remember an instance when I was back in high school where my eldest sister was staying the night. I was in the upstairs living room watching tv while she was asleep in the room

I *may* go back to my headphones for regular use. Think I *may* need the sound pumped directly into my earholes, but I'm gonna give it a bit more time to fully decide on that.
Though using the speakers have gotten me to think a bit on why I've been using headphones for so long.

After using headphones on my computer for probably a good 15 or so years, I'm giving speakers a try. And, I've gotta say, it's kinda an odd feeling. So used to the feel of the headphones on my head and the cord by my side. Not feeling them feels so alien to me.
