The dichotomy of Steam User Reviews:
A positive review purely based on the fact that the piece of paper says it runs well on Steam Deck.
A negative review with what appears fully fleshed out take based on 0.1 (6 minutes) of gameplay.

What are we even doing here, gamers.
A long negative review of Hollow Knight Silksong based on 0.1 hours of gameplay: Silksong is like a sequel to your favorite show where all the characters are recast, and the plotline feels like a cheap rehash. Hornet is the worst protagonist ever. She's no Knight... sorry, but there's just something about her combat style that feels less satisfying. The dodge mechanics are finicky and the weapon upgrades feel uninspired. I was hoping for a new, refined experience, but it’s like they copy-pasted everything from the original game and slapped a new coat of paint on it. And that’s not even the worst part. The world design, which was the beating heart of the first game, feels bland. The areas lack the charm of the original Hollow Knight locations. It's like they were trying too hard to recapture that magic, but instead, they’ve given us a generic version of it with all the soul stripped away. Let’s not even talk about the performance issues... Frame drops in a Metroidvania? Really? This is the year 2025, not 1999. How this game runs like trash on a 9950x3d + 5090 with 128gb DDR5 RAM is mind-boggling considering it's 2-dimensional. I get it, they’re trying to do something new, but Silksong just feels like a shallow imitation. Don’t get me wrong, I really wanted to love this game, but it’s a tough pill to swallow when a sequel feels like a cash grab. If you want the real Hollow Knight experience, just replay the first game. Skip this one. Maybe we can get the real Silksong someday. Rating: 2/10 – For the art direction, I guess? Definitely would not recommend. Go play a better game. A short positive review of Hollow Knight: Silksong: 90 FPS, 6 hours of battery on Deck OLED, native 16:10!
