Klay is a top ten trash talker ever. He has the “I’m sorry this unfortunate fact about you has to be a fact but it does” shtick down.
Klay Thompson on Ja Morant calling him a "bum": “Nothing of intelligent depth. Just running his mouth. He’s been running his mouth a long time. It’s funny you run your mouth when you’re on the bench. It’s kinda been the whole story of his career so far.”

In 2018, I followed girls’ baseball teams from Boston and D.C. to Baseball For All Nationals in Rockford, IL. Several of those girls were drafted into the WPBL last night.

The story is no longer online but you can read it in full below:

Song negotiating window will begin at 8am ET this Saturday and close on December 21 at 5pm ET.
Sung-mun Song is apparently getting posted in the next two days. Here we go. In my opinion, the best all around player in Korea could be coming stateside.

Kim goes fourth overall to Boston. She’s the first of at least three Korean players we should see drafted tonight.

Mo'ne Davis spent years telling people that she was done playing baseball. She did not want to be forever defined by what she did as a 13-year-old in Little League, a decade ago, and she did not feel like there was space for her to do much else. And then she felt differently. On Davis and the WPBL:

Kang signing is official now. The heart of the Eagles lineup - Kang, Hyun-bin Moon, and Si-hwan Roh - is arguably the best in the KBO. This goes with some of the strongest young pitching in the league.

Ok BlueSky: what are your favorite history books in terms of sheer page-turning, narrative propulsion? Thinking along the line of Killers of the Flower Moon, etc. Nonfiction chronicles that read like novels or movies.

Sounds like Baek-ho Kang is signing with the Hanwha Eagles. Huge pick up for an offense that was streaky and slumped in big spots. Kang has proven himself clutch. Kang signed with an American agency and had wanted to test MLB, but that was always a long shot this offseason.

When a dozen scouts were in attendance to see Ponce, Woo-joo Jeong stole the show. When his team’s season was on the line, Jeong shut down the Twins. Today at the Tokyo Dome, Jeong struck out four over three innings, allowing no runs or hits. He’s 19. Remember the name.
