Files show Brexit was the outcome & instrument of a transnational network of oligarchs, data‑operation firms & authoritarian‑leaning actors. All stood to profit from destabilisation, low regulation, weak democratic checks

Meet Hannah Spencer - Green MP candidate for Gorton and Denton, and the only vote to stop Reform.

I wonder what the right-wing media establishment feel when they hear Ed Milliband being so clear and passionate about Labour's mission in politics

Do they have so little care for the future of the country that they're rejoicing at the way they destroyed him over a bacon sandwich?

A government enthralled to men and corporations drunk on power is the rot at the centre of the Mandelson scandal.

Of all seven of the Nolan principles, openness can help build back the most trust.

Every MP, like me, should release logs of all lobbying meetings.

Spot on from Tom Baldwin:

Keir Starmer is like a butcher who doesn't eat meat and doesn't want to know how sausages are made

He always gives me the impression that he thinks politics is somehow beneath him
BREAKING: Nigel Farage calls for an end to working from home and the focus on work-life balance

"People aren't more productive working from home - it's a load of nonsense”

Whatever you do JUST DON’T VOTE REFORM!

Anas Sarwar is about to call for Starmer to resign for his appalling judgement when it came to Peter Mandelson.

The same Anas Sarwar who proudly posed with his 'old friend' years after everyone knew that Mandelson stuck with Epstein despite his conviction for child sex offences.

🤣

The EU would definitely be open to reciprocal arrangements

Starmer offered this himself in 2020 and should follow through, is my point

This appears to be the current Labour Party position but I'm deliberately making reference to what Starmer said when he stood for Labour Party leadership

Somebody else criticized an earlier post where I said he supported PR so I deleted that version!

But I think I should have said that he supported electoral reform as you did

It looks to me like Labour have eliminated everything he said at that point for obvious reasons

Here's an idea for Starmer:

Why not keep the promises he made when he was elected Labour leader?

👌🏻Public ownership

👌🏻Scrapping tuition fees

👌🏻Higher taxes on the wealthy

👌🏻Free movement in the EU

This would be a pretty popular platform right now

It's hard to find the official platform but I think you're right so I think I'll delete and start again
Epstein was in and out of Russia every few months according to his travel documents, but Mandelson was partying in nightclubs in St Petersburg and regularly in Moscow.

How did our intelligence services fail to pick this up? Or were their reports and investigations suppressed?

McFadden's phony expressions of concern around how women were discussed in the Epstein files are nauseating

We all know he is part of the boys' club inside Number 10 that denigrates women

And part of the macho culture that has always dominated the Labour Party

Thx

🤪😡😤The photo for the profile is actually taken in the home Salisbury that was raided by police yesterday
I had to check the date on this three times

‘At home with Peter Mandelson’ in Times magazine *today*

This is how we cover corruption in Britain? Seriously??

I wasn't being critical. I honestly just didn't understand what you meant

I think we can be sure that Epstein was basically working for himself but we need to know his connections for any national security services

Some authoritative references would be welcome if you can find them

Can you explain 'come off it'? That makes me think you're suggesting I'm trying to conceal something or mislead in some way?

Any links to sources you have for the money trail would also be welcome

The destruction of women by powerful men is a tragedy

But the Epstein scandal demonstrates how the personal is political

It reveals an international conspiracy of oligarchs to control money and power

The hollowing out of democracies across the world

And Putin as the probable master puppeteer

The answer reveals a troubling truth about accountability in our democracy. While removal is technically possible, it’s extraordinarily difficult, & is completely out of the hands of the British public. Members of the Lords are not only unelected, but virtually immune from democratic accountability
How can someone be removed from the House of Lords?
When peers make headlines for the wrong reasons, the same question inevitably arises: how do you actually remove someone from the House of Lords? The recent cases of Lord Mandelson and B
