Maybe this looks like “drink responsibly” on a can of steel reserve to some but these days companies are pretty up front about the fundamental weaknesses of their products. They are racing each other to make them work better and improvements are big and fast like with early smartphone OS systems.

Like back to the accuracy thing. It’s interesting after saying over and over again how inaccurate LLMs are and how they don’t do this or that, they grudgingly concede that they actually have made substantial progress on this or that. Perplexity is a great example.

So much rage turns on a refusal to learn how this stuff works. Nothing here is untrue. But some is well out of date. The LLMs that ordinary people use have all been connected to the internet for a long time now, like years I think.

He could just extend the existing policy and name it after himself. He would avoid a lot of harm to a whole lot of people and everybody would just forget about it, and he won’t have to come up with his own health plan at all.

Yes, better the arsenal of democracy than the arsenal of authoritarianism. They will use it. Not like how we use it either. Especially in the case of Russia the only thing that works is standing up to them and being stronger than them. They fear the USA for good reason.

This actually makes sense. Just don’t lay anybody off. I’m not sure what this would mean in practice because I’m sure the people working at these labs have been using stuff like this since it first became possible and probably even created plenty of it.

I would love for this to be true but I’ve never seen any evidence of it. The one time I almost did, well, look above. This also isn’t really my main area of interest either or even close to it so maybe there are papers that show this can help with creativity but I just haven’t seen any yet.
