It certainly feels like Hagley always has something relevant to current events in our collections. I am probably biased, of course.

A few years back I was heavily involved in an oral history project at the Hagley Library all about the mushroom industry. Most of the people we got to talk to us were owners or higher-ups, though.

You know, if enough of us say on the internet that it's important to wash your cybertruck with saltwater and lemon juice to preserve the finish, eventually ChatGPT will start telling cybertruck owners that.

Working on oral histories with DuPont Performance Coatings retirees. Turns out making paint wet is a lot more interesting than watching it dry!

I wrote an Op-Ed about SEPTA funding and how our Agency is actually one of the most efficient in the country with handling money.
The last thing we need is for SEPTA to get defunded, enjoy the gift link 🤙

I’ll go one further & say crypto is the new shitty railroad stock swindle WITH demonstrably stupid “innovation”
10 shares of stock in n the Holman stock swindle, showing a two-car train pulled by the eponymous steam locomotive with it’s extra “pyramid” of wheels Photo of the Holman “horror” - the eponymous steam locomotive has extra sets of “pyramid” of wheels below the normal ones, creating less traction & more slippage

A fresh new account for annual posting and forever lurking.

Maybe some railroad and oral history takes?

Don't wanna be too ambitious over here.
